London tips

Sorry for not posting for such a long time this post about London, i have a lot of things going on right now, so I haven't found a proper time for writting it.
As I mentioned in the previouse post I've been to London and I want to make this post about the little tricks and things which might help you to get around London and even save some cash.

1.Oyster card -> Buy a 7 day travel card. When you buy it ( it can be bought at every underground station, and also in some little stores around London.) they will charge you a fee of 5 pounds which you'll get back if you return it at the end of your trip, otherways you can save it for you next trip to London. Or if you do not want to pay that extra fee simply ask your friends who were already in London if they can lend you.

2. Book a hotel/hostel in the zone 1 or 2 it will be cheaper than driving everyday from other zones which also means loosing time. (Easy Hotel is also a really good option for a really good price)

3. Eating in London can be pretty expensive and so you can eat either in McDonald's, Pret A Manger, Subway,...etc . which are much more cheaper than eating in a restaurant. Also it's cheaper if you take your food with you than eating in restaurant.

4. Make a plan what do you want to see and when you get to London everyday just check which things are closer and go see them all at once, you will save time.

5. Tube for some people it's confusing, but i really couldn't imagine a faster way to get around town, although it's true you don't see much but everytime you get lost just find the nearest tube station and find on a map where do you want to go.
The buses or so called double deckers are also a lot of fun! You can see London from another perspective.
However I want to tell you more about the tube, as I said many people find it confusing, but all that you have to know is only where you're getting on a tube and your exit. Than the next step is to find a line which will take you there and once on the tube station follow the directions which are showing you your line and at the end of your way there always for one line ex. Picadilly Line gets in two directions and here you have to know where you're getting of the tube, from there simply follow the directions where your final destination is written.

for example:  You're located Covent Garden tube station and you want to get to Picadilly Circus.
1. Picadilly line will take you there.
2. chech the last station of Picadilly line in direction you're heading Terminal 5 or Amersham.
3. Follow on tube station the directions for Picadilly line. Eventually there will be shown two directions for Picadilly line, yours it's towar Terminal 5 or Amersham, not towards Cockfosters. At that point there is a list of all the stops for each way that tube goes and just follow the direction where your exit is written or the final exit in the line.

p.s. Coachella inspired post is coming up soon!:)
xoxo,
Barbi
